Antique House.
(Open Daily: 4.00 pm.- Midnight).
          There are actually 2 antique houses , one in the city, a late 19th century timber building under a national preservation order, and the other one on the ping river. Both are charming restaurant, offering excellent Northern Thai food. Traditional Thai music is played by string ensembles in the evening. Recommended dished include fried boneless snakefish, steamed chicken and pickled pork salad.
  Aroon Rai.
(Open Daily: 9.30 am. - 10.00 pm.)
          Don't miss this famous, original reataurant serving authentic Thai curries at Tha Pae Gate. Foreign tourists come here to taste the real northern culture of Chiangmai. Try the hot streamed sticky rice,served with northern sausage and Chiangmai pork curry with ginger. You can also buy homemade instant curry paste or powder and do it yourself at home.

Huen Phen.
 (Open Daily: 08.30 am.- 3.30 pm. and 5.00 - 10.00 pm.)         
          This is a must for those who love northern Thai food. For lunch you can try all of the original northern tastes such as khanom jeen (rice noodle with spicy meat sauce) and kao soi (egg noodle in curry soup), spicy minced meat and Chiangmai sausage. Don't forget to try pickled pork and chili and crab dip, In the evening, they offer less spicy dishes, phachon dad deao(fried fish) is highly recommended.
► Lemon Tree.
(Open Daily: 11.00 am.- 10.00 pm.)
          With an almost endless veriety of favorite Thai dishes, Lemon Tree is often full the guests. Highly recommended dishes are stir-fired noodles with salted yolk and pond snail curry. Others that should not  be missed include fired morning glory salad and spicy shrimp soup with solf coconut meat.

Jia Tong Heng Restaurant.
(Open Daily: 10.00 am.- 10.00 pm.)
          First just a food stall, this famous Chianese restaurant with more than 48 years of experience has grown to become an impressive eatery that welcomes many important guests. Jia Tong Heng gains its popularity from its delicious food prepared by a professional chef. The special dish is white fish in picked plum sauce. Also try the stir fried Jew's Ear with egg, Fired vegetables in oyster sauce, and steamed chicken with Chinese herbs. Plus, the room is available to be rented out for parties or events. It fits up to 400 people.

Kaeng Ron Baan Suan.
(Open Daily: 10.30 am.- 10.30 pm.)
          The traditional lanna setting and music from the 80's gives visitors to this restaurant a nostalgic longing for the past. Their loyal customers enjoy not only the atmosphere, but also the tasty northern thai cuisines. Favorite dishes include bamboo shoot soup, northern sausage , and pork curry. Plus portions are large. Special victory drums show  every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.


Galae Restaurant.
(Open Daily: 10.00 am.-21.00 pm.)
          Outstanding Thai and Northern Thai food and a beautiful flower garden on the edge of a sparking reservoir setting. Located in the foothill of the moutain beyond Suthep Road with panoramic views of the city of Chiangmai.


Palaad Tawanron.
(Open Daily: 11.30 am.- midnight)
          Palaad Tawanron is an 'American Express Select Restaurant 2006' and in the top 100 of Thailand Tatler's 'Thailand's Best Restaurants 2006'. It is located beside Palaad Waterfall. Dinners may enjoy fine Thai cuisine with sensational views of the Chiang Mai cityscape. Try their Tawanron-style deep fired pork knuckle, Fresh seafood is a specialty. Another testy dish is their freshwater prawns lightly fired with oyster sauce. The Palaad Tawanron experience can be further enhanced sampling the fine wines from the restaurant's well stocked


Banrai Steak House.
(Open Daily: 10.00 am.- midnight ).
          Banrai Steak House was among the first introduce American steak to Chiangmai. It has been around for more than 20 years. As tough competition moves in Banrai Steak House has managed to remain popular. Its variety of meat includes ostrich, fish, alligator and -the number one favorite of all time - great sirloin steak.

The Goodview Restaurant.
(Open Daily: 10.00 am.- midnight).
          Local residents and visitors alike have considered the Good View one of the best restaurant in Chiangmai for years. It looks out over the Ping River,has great live music, and features countless delicious dishes. At the top of the list is Khantoke Good View, which is a set menu of namprik num (green chili paste) and namprik ong (sweet chili paste). Also try their delightful deep fired pork's knuckle.

The Gallery.
